The ceremony of granting habilitation diplomas and doctoral promotions

In the Crystal Hall of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, a ceremony of granting habilitation diplomas and doctoral promotions took place. The faculty members of the university were also awarded with national distinctions and with the Medal of Commission of National Education. His Magnificence, the Rector of WULS-SGGW, Prof. dr hab. Alojzy Szymański ,delivered habilitation diplomas to 12 doctors. Also doctoral promotions were presented. Twelve doctors were promoted.

Bishop Roman Andrzejewski Award for the Rector of WULS-SGGW

Profesor Alojzy Szymański, the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Warsaw, was honored with the Bishop Roman Andrzejewski Award. The prize is granted for merit in working for rural communities and cultural and economic development of the rural areas.

The Rector of the WULS-SGGW granted the Rev. Bishop Roman Andrzejewski Award

We are pleased to announce that the Rev. Bishop Roman Andrzejewski Award Committee who had its sitting in Łowicz, under the honorary chairmanship of the Rev. Bishop Alojzy Orszulik, unanimously decided to grant the award for 2014 to Professor dr. hab. Alojzy Szymański, the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

Robert Popek, Ph.D., wins the Baltic University Programme PhD Thesis Award

Dr. Eng. Robert Popek from the Institute of Natural Basis of Horticulture is one of the three laureates who won the Baltic University Program PhD Thesis Award for the best doctoral thesis. The award is granted for the best doctoral thesis which was defended in the previous calendar year.

Warsaw University of Life Sciences has started the new academic year

Twenty-eight thousand students of WULS-SGGW, including eight thousand first-year students began their education in the academic year 2014/2015. During the inauguration of the academic year, students newly admitted to the first year of studies and doctoral studies made a solemn oath, becoming full members of the academic community of WULS-SGGW.

Mini kiwi fruit bred at WULS-SGGW to be fund on store shelves

Mini kiwi fruit, a variety bred by scientists from WULS-SGGW has already appeared in our stores. A new variety of Actinidia was introduced into crop commodity thanks to the cooperation of employees of the Faculty of Horticulture, Biotechnology and Landscape Architecture of WULS-SGGW and a fruit grower from the Grójecki region.
