Dr hab. Joanna Paliszkiewicz, prof. nadzw., pracownik Wydziału Nauk Ekonomicznych SGGW została wyróżniona nagrodą „Computer Educator of the Year” przyznawaną przez Amerykańskie Stowarzyszenie: International Association of Computer Information System.
Professor Jan Gawęcki is the WULS-SGGW Doctor Honoris Causa
On Friday (May 17th), during the days of WULS-SGGW, professor dr hab. Jan Gawęcki from the Faculty of Food Sciences and Nutrition of Poznan University of Life Sciences received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa. Professor Gawęcki is a specialist in human nutrition studies.
Study programmes in WULS-SGGW at the top of rankings by „Perspektywy” and „Rzeczpospolita”
Study programmes at Warsaw University of Life Sciences were rated highly in the Ranking of Universities 2013 by ”Perspektywy” and “Rzeczpospolita”. In the category of agricultural, forestry and veterinary programmes, WULS-SGGW was unbeatable. Programmes that educate in food sciences and nutrition, and that are of agricultural and veterinary profiles, were the number one. During the Ranking of Universities 2013 by ”Perspektywy” and ”Rzeczpospolita” final ceremony, which took place on May 9th, the grand prizes were given to: dr hab. Krystyna Gutkowska – the Dean of the Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences, Professor dr hab. Marian Binek – the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Professor dr hab. Marek Gajewski – vice dean for didactics at the Faculty of Horticulture, Biotechnology and Landscape Architecture.

Significant advancement in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities
Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW has improved its place in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities by moving up to position no. 1158 among more than 20,000 surveyed universities, compared to the 1532nd place earned six months ago .This change means a rise of 374 positions compared to the ranking from July last year and an increase of more than 1,000 positions, compared to the ranking of January 2011.
Our university is a leader of “media university ranking”
Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW for the second time in the row won in the category of agricultural universities ranking that was prepared by “PRESS-SERVICE Media Monitoring”, which was examining the number of press, internet, radio and TV publications on particular universities. The ranking reflects the scale of media interest in the respective universities and the efficiency of the university press Office.
