New offers for prospective students

In the academic year of 2015/2016, the university has prepared a diverse offer of 37 interesting programmes of study, including three new ones: Engineering of biotechnical systems, Plant health protection and Water engineering and management.

Engineering of biotechnical systems is a programme that allows to gain knowledge in the field of construction and operation of specialized and high-tech machinery. The programme, apart from theory, provides a lot of practical activities, so that students can gain necessary engineering competencies and specific professional qualifications that enable them to apply for certificates such as ECDL, Cisco, Siemens, ASTOR and SEP (certificate issued by the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers). The graduates of the programme will find employment in specialized technical and service companies in Poland and abroad, they will also be ready to start their own economic activity. It is a first-cycle programme taught at the Faculty of Production Engineering. The Faculty has prepared 60 places in the full-time course and 45 places in the part-time course.  

Plant health protection is an innovative programme that was created with the purpose of meeting the future needs of the market.  This modern programme will equip the students with broad theoretical knowledge, but also in necessary practical skills, making the graduates high-class specialists who will find the right place in the competitive market environment with ease. Employment will be offered by sectors related to environmental protection, field and greenhouse agricultural production, horticulture, production of vegetables, herbs and flowers, enterprises engaged in trading and consulting, as well as by research units.  It is a first-cylce programme at the Faculty of Horticulture, Biotechnology and Landscape Architecture.  ydziale Ogrodnictwa, Biotechnologii i Architektury Krajobrazu. The Faculty has prepared 60 places in the full-time course for plant health protection.

Water engineering and management is a programme that trains professionals in the field of techniques and technology of water engineering and management, taking into account the environmental criteria and broader social needs. It is a response to the need for rational water management and the effects of progressing climate change.  The acquired knowledge and skills allow the graduates to work in profession and apply for a building license with a specialization in hydro engineering and construction and building. Graduates of water engineering and management, among other, may be employed in water engineering companies, public utilities companies, regional water boards, water companies, projects and consulting offices, government agencies and local governments.  It is a first-cylce programme taught at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Construction. The Faculty has prepared 60 places in the full-time course for the students of Water engineering and management.

The WULS-SSGW is the oldest and largest life sciences university in Poland. From 2010 to 2014, the WULS-SGGW won the first place in the competition of Academic Centre of Information (ACI) for "The most innovative and creative university in Poland in creating career prospects." So far, there are over 120 thousand graduates of WULS-SGGW. In total, 27 thousand people are studying at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The University offers its students a modern campus with the best residences and lecture halls in Poland. In addition to teaching facilities, the university also has sports facilities: indoor swimming pool, tennis hall, tennis courts, horse stables and the a sports and recreation facility,, as well as a facility for classes of hippotherapy for children with disabilities. There are also good housing conditions in student dormitories. WULS-SGGW offers well-equipped rooms, free internet access, cafeteria, its own medical clinic, coffee bar club, copying services and modern laundries.
